We must first survive in
order to change. But we will not survive unless we
change.

The
bond that is formed by individuals who have gone through
the same treatment center is powerful, whether going
through treatment at the same time or years apart. The
shared commonality of group process experience,
interaction with and pivotal moments in treatment makes
this bond lifelong. The alumni offer an opportunity to
stay connected to one another in ways that might not
otherwise occur.
The
alumni program also offers the opportunity to give hope
to current clients. Role modeling recovery, being a
twelve step sponsor, or simply offering rides to clients
are just some of the ways for alums to give back.
Alumni can offer support in ways that staff can’t always
achieve, whether the support is treatment-related or
not.
We’d
like to invite all alumni to post their thoughts,
struggles and achievements with us on the bulletin
board, but please be mindful of language when
posting--alumni posts are unedited. The staff reserve
the right to remove a post (if it is offensive). In such
cases we will send it back to the author for editing.
Thanks from the staff on your recovery efforts. It
truly makes a difference for you, your family and makes
the world a better place.
