We must first survive in
order to change. But we will not survive unless we
change.

Aftercare
Continuing care is an essential part of treatment.
Recovery from any disease requires follow up and life
style adjustments. After successfully completing
primary treatment clients are strongly encouraged to
participate in aftercare groups in order to support and
adjust to life without addiction.
Aftercare provides necessary reinforcement for the
client and support for the transitional period of
recovery. Additionally, relapse prevention techniques
are taught in order to sustain recovery and promote
healthy lifestyle and relationship choices.
Employee assistance counselors, physicians, and other
allied health professionals are sometimes necessary to
assist in a client's transition. Referrals to
professionals/agencies are available through our
continuing care program. Continuing care meetings are
held weekly and clients are encouraged to attend from 16
to 52 weeks, based on individual client need.
